dc.description.abstractEste artigodiscute em seu primeiro apartado a questão da inevitabilidade do mal metafísico. Sem ter a pretensão de fazer uma análise profunda da vasta produção bibliográfica sobre o assunto, a segunda parte do textoconstata a insuficiência da razão para decifrar o enigma do mal, o que permite uma abertura ao Deus da fé que é examinada com base na tradição bíblica, em especial a partir do Livro de Jó. A título de conclusão, é defendida a compatibilidade entre o Livro de Jóe o conceito filosófico de mal metafísico. Ao partir do princípio de que a essência do mal reside na condição finita da realidade, ambos enunciam a insensatez e a falta de sentido da pergunta se Deus poderia ter criado um mundo sem mal.pt_BR
dc.description.abstractenThis present article discusses in its first section the issue of the inevitability of metaphysical evil.With no pretension to make an in-depth analysis of the vast bibliographical production on the subject, the second part of this article states the insufficiency of reason to decipher the enigma of evil, which allows an openness to the God of faith that is examined on the basis of Biblical tradition, particularly from The Book of Job.In conclusion, the compatibility between The Book of Job and the philosophical concept of metaphysical evil is defended.Assuming that the essence of evil lies in the finite condition of reality, both enunciate the folly and meaninglessness of the question whether God could have created a world without evil.pt_BR
