dc.description.abstractNo intuito de contribuir no auxílio à elaboração de políticas públicas pró-equitativas no Brasil, a presente pesquisa objetivou identificar as desigualdades nas necessidades em saúde entre os seus municípios. Como modelo analítico, utilizou-se da análise estatística multivariada, especificamente a análise fatorial, que permitiu obter os índices municipais de necessidades em saúde. Quanto à fundamentação teórica, utilizou-se da literatura sobre os determinantes sociais da saúde (DSS). A análise permitiu constatar que as variáveis socioeconômicas e epidemiológicas consideradas no estudo não são independentes e se interagem de forma imbricada na determinação do quadro geral de necessidades em saúde dos municípios, corroborando a fundamentação teórica referenciada nesta pesquisa. Os índices de necessidades evidenciam existência de expressivas desigualdades entre os municípios brasileiros, mesmo entre aqueles pertencentes à mesma Unidade da Federação. No entanto, as desigualdades são mais expressivas em desfavor das regiões Norte e Nordeste do País, estas que correspondem praticamente a ¼ dos municípios com as maiores necessidades em saúde do Brasil.
dc.description.abstractenThe present research aimed to identify inequalities in health needs among municipalities, with the purpose of contributing to the development of pro-equitable public policies in Brazil. The multivariate statistical analysis, specifically the factorial analysis, was used as an analytical model, which allowed obtaining the municipal indexes of health needs. The literature on the social determinants of health (HSD) was used in the theoretical basis. The analysis found that the socioeconomic and epidemiological variables considered in the study are not independent and interact in the determination of the general health needs of the municipalities, corroborating the theoretical foundation referenced in this study. The indices of needs evidenced the existence of significant inequalities among Brazilian municipalities, even among those belonging to the same Federal Unit. However, inequalities are more significant in the North and Northeast of the country, where almost ¼ of the municipalities with the greatest health needs of Brazil are located.
