dc.description.abstractEste trabalho explora o Planejamento no Sistema Prisional, especificamente no âmbito do Departamento Penitenciário de Minas Gerais (Depen-MG), sob a percepção dos gestores. Planejamento é fundamental para se obter melhor desempenho nos serviços prestados à sociedade. O referencial teórico aborda a Matriz SWOT como uma ferramenta de diagnóstico importante para a elaboração de um planejamento estratégico e contempla os instrumentos que a administração pública emprega para atingir seus dos objetivos, no curto, médio e longo prazos. Realizou-se pesquisa de caráter qualitativo e descritivo, em que foram usadas as seguintes técnicas: levantamento bibliográfico, análise documental e aplicação de questionário a gestores do sistema. Os resultados encontrados demonstram que o Depen-MG está imerso em um contexto de atuação complexo e demanda uma articulação constante com outros órgãos. Entretanto, não dispõe de um instrumento próprio de planejamento que norteie os rumos da organização para o médio e longo prazo, estando centrado apenas para ações no curto prazo.pt_BR
dc.description.abstractThis work explores Planning in the Prison System, specifically within the scope of the Penitentiary Department of Minas Gerais (Depen-MG), under the perception of managers. Planning is essential to obtain better performance in the services provided to society. The theoretical framework approaches the SWOT Matrix as an important diagnostic tool for the elaboration of a Strategic Planning and contemplates the instruments that the Public Administration uses to achieve its objectives in the short, medium and long terms. A qualitative and descriptive research was carried out, in which the following techniques were used: bibliographic survey, document analysis and questionnaire application to system managers. The results found demonstrate that Depen-MG is immersed in a context of complex performance and demands constant articulation with other organs. However, it does not have its own planning tool to guide the organization's direction for the medium and long term, being centered only on actions in the short term.pt_BR
