dc.description.abstractO presente artigo tem como objetivo elaborar um diagnóstico sobre as condições econômicas e socioambientais dos municípios que integram a bacia hidrográfica do Mucuri em Minas Gerais, com o intento de criar subsídios para o planejamento regional. Esse diagnóstico foi composto por metodologias variadas pautadas em índices capazes de representar uma realidade multidimensional e muitas vezes complexa em uma medida única. Os indicadores sintéticos de desigualdade social e segregação socioespacial tratados no artigo são: potencial de Inserção municipal (PIM), índice de inserção social familiar (ISF), potencial turístico regional (PTR), índice de vulnerabilidade social (IVS), índice de infraestrutura urbana (IU) e o Potencial socio-turístico-ambiental (PSTA). Por fim, procurou-se elaborar um indicador sintético de desigualdade e segregação socioespacial tendo por base dois conceitos chaves para o entendimento e operacionalização desse indicador: a vulnerabilidade social e o acesso à infraestrutura urbana. Os diversos índices representados nesse trabalho são tentativas de identificar fatores que caracterizam as desigualdades socioespaciais no território analisado, podendo ser aplicado em outras regiões.pt_BR
dc.description.abstractenThis article aims to develop a diagnosis of the economic, social and environmental conditions of the municipalities that make up the Mucuri’s River Basin in Minas Gerais, with the goal of creating subsidies for regional planning. This diagnosis was made by various methodologies guided by indices capable of representing a multidimensional reality and often complex into a single measure. The synthetic indicators of social inequality and spatial segregation are treated in the article: potential municipal Insertion (PMI), an index of social family (ISF), regional tourism potential (RTP), social vulnerability index (SVI), index of urban infrastructure (UI) and the potential socio-environmental-touristic (PSET). Finally, we sought to develop a synthetic indicator of inequality and spatial segregation based on two key concepts for the understanding and operationalization of this indicator: social vulnerability and access to urban infrastructure. The various indices are represented in this paper attempts to identify factors that characterize the socio-spatial inequalities within analyzed and can be applied in other regions.pt_BR
