dc.description.abstractOs direitos humanos são resultado de contestações promovidas por pessoas reais que ocorreram ao longo da história. Esses movimentos reivindicavam uma vida digna e denunciavam as injustiças. O povo hebreu, que teve na libertação do Egito seu mito fundador, foi uma das nações que vivenciaram e enfrentaram histórias de opressão e libertação. Nessas lutas, esse povo desenvolveu uma concepção de defesa da vida, liberdade e justiça. Partindo de fontes primárias da tradição judaica, em especial o Tanach e o Talmude, além de outras fontes bibliográficas, o presente artigo discute como o princípios religiosos ali presentes foram fundamentais para o desenvolvimento dos chamados direitos humanos.pt_BR
dc.description.abstractenHuman rights are the result of contestations promoted by real people that have occurred throughout history. These movements claimed a dignified life and denounced the injustices. The Hebrew people, who had their founding myth in the liberation of Egypt, were one of the nations that experienced and faced stories of opression and liberation. In these struggles, these people developed a concept of the defense of life, freedom and justice. Starting from primary sources of Jewish tradition, especially the Tanach and Talmud, in addition to other bibliographic sources, this article discusses how the religious principles present there were fundamental to the development of so-called human rights.pt_BR
