Resumo
Este trabalho resulta de pesquisa realizada no Instituto de Geociências Aplicadas (IGA), no âmbito do projeto endogovernamental Geoportal MG 3D. A pesquisa tem por objetivo analisar a dinâmica espacial do Índice Mineiro de Responsabilidade Social (IMRS) para a Região de Planejamento Jequitinhonha/Mucuri. Esse indicador foi elaborado pelo Governo de Minas Gerais e sintetiza sete dimensões socioeconômicas dos municípios e regiões do estado: saúde, educação, renda, segurança, saneamento, cultura e finanças. A pesquisa identificou distinções na distribuição territorial do IMRS, em que valores mais elevados do indicador predominam nas regiões meridionais de Minas Gerais, enquanto os valores mais baixos são observados nas regiões setentrionais. No entanto, a pesquisa apontou que, no período 2000-2006, houve significativo incremento nos valores do IMRS nas regiões mais pobres do estado, notadamente na região do Jequitinhonha/Mucuri, foco deste estudo.
Abstract
This work resultsfrom research conducted at the Instituto de Geociências Aplicadas (IGA) within the endogovernamental project Geoportal MG 3D. The research aims to analyze the spatial dynamics of the IMRS (Índice Mineiro de Responsabilidade Social) for the Planning RegionJequitinhonha/Mucuri. This indicator was prepared by the Government of Minas Gerais and summarizes seven socioeconomic dimensions of cities and regions of the state: health, education, income, safety, sanitation, culture and finances. The research identified distinctions in the territorial distribution of the IMRS, in which higher values of the indicator predominate in the southern regions of Minas Gerais, while the lowest values are observed in the northern regions. However, the survey indicated that over the period 2000-2006, there was significant increase in the values of the IMRSin the poorest regions of the state, especially in the region of Jequitinhonha/Mucuri, focus of this study.
